Narrow Strip Release Paper

Date:2022-11-03
Narrow strip release paper is designed for cutting optical features and can be wax-laminated, die-cutted, and stored. It has a release coating that repels wax and maintains image clarity. Its silicone-coated release coating is easier to remove from adhesives. The strips are available in many sizes and can be purchased separately or in rolls.
The narrow strip is visible through the sealing member 2. It may be in the space between the top clear polymer layer and the lower metal foil layer. Alternatively, it may be directly applied to another layer above the foil layer. It may also be incorporated into tab 6 or placed under it. It is usually used in combination with a thermal-activated seal component to ensure adhesion to seal layers.
In some cases, segmentation of the layers can be used to align the narrow strip 20 to the orientation axis. This can be done by cutting, embossing, or any other suitable method. For example, the top layer 214 may be split into two major parts. The split top layer 214 has side walls 216A and 216B that can align the strip within the gap.
Using an oversized narrow strip also helps align anti-counterfeit materials relative to the orientation axis X. During assembly, movement and set-up errors can occur. The oversized narrow strip compensates for these problems by ensuring that the visible portion of the anti-counterfeit material is aligned and not distorted by the overlapping layers.
Narrow strip release paper is used in a wide variety of printing devices, including the use of a printer. These devices have toothed mechanisms that engage with the holes in the perforated strips and guide the paper through the printer. The strip can also be detached from the main body of the paper by a tear line.
